With over 10 years of experience as a fitness trainer, Ryan practices what he teaches. He believes in the importance of a strong healthy body, and the importance of physical activity to keep a body resilient and to protect from injury.
Ryan’s personal philosophy regarding pain is that nociceptive (pain threat) are what the brain receives and sends out having being our “problem” & manifesting worse over long term if not treated. Years of neglect, due to repetitive movements tat later become our consequences. Ryan believes the MOVEMENT is the most important for long term disability and addressing the cause for pain. Through therapeutic exercises he trains the body providing different ways of compensating for injury, utilizing movement to address congenital weakness and strengthening areas of the body that are weak.
He believes in activating the parasympathetic nervous system – and utilizes tools to relax the body, putting it at ease while guiding the body through healing techniques targeting back pain and more. A starting point of relaxation and the power of deep breathing can relax muscles and facilitate deeper long term benefits after a session.
His background in body mechanics through kinesiology combined with the very gentle techniques of osteopathy provide effective relief for chronic pain, low back pain, tense muscles, decreased range of motion, spinal alignment issues and joint and ligament disorders. Ryan offers compassion and enthusiasm, combined with the latest education in assisting clients to overcome functional pain .
